How To Order

1. Select your favorite style - Digital Painting or Collage

Digital Painting- These portraits are created on the computer by hand using my Wacom digital tablet and stylus along with your favorite photograph. The process uses pixels instead of paint to create your one of a kind portrait. The final image is printed out on stretched canvas on stretcher bars, using archival inks that will last a lifetime. No framing is necessary since the entire image wraps around the frame in what is called a gallery wrap. This style of painting can be customized in any way with your choice of colors, backgrounds, etc.

Collage Portrait - These portraits are a combination of photography and acrylic paint. You select your favorite high quality photo of your pet and I collage the image into your own original piece of art. You can also customize these portraits with your favorite colors, sayings, etc. These are more whimsical and humorous.

2. Select your favorite color photo- Please make sure that the photo you select is a well focused, sharp image that is at least 4x6 inches or larger. If the file is digital, it must be at least 1 megabyte or larger for optimal results. No cell phone photos please! The portrait price is for one animal in the painting. Each additional pet is $40.00.

3. Send me your photo- Choose ONE of the following options to submit your photo:

4. Choose your finished size - Paintings are printed on canvas and stretched on stretcher bars, ready to hang. Collage portraits are created on a wood substrate that is painted on all four sides and ready to hang. Both styles are the same price. The collage pieces can be framed in an old window frame for a more rustic look. Please contact me for exact pricing.

5. Payment - An initial deposit of $50.00 is required at the time you place your order. This deposit will start the design process and the balance will be due when you approve your final proof.

5. Proofing- A final proof will be presented to you via email before the painting goes to print. At this time, minor changes and modifications can be made if necessary. Three revisions will be allowed at no charge to you. After that, any revisions will be charged a design fee of $50.00 per hour. You may cancel your order at any time during the design phase and you will not be charged the balance of your bill. My goal is to create a painting that you are totally satisfied with and I stand behind my work 100%. Once final approval is given on a proof, the balance due will be charged to your credit card. No refunds can be made after this point unless there is a defect in the printing or the portrait is damaged via shipping.

7. Shipping - The average turn around time for a painting is 2 weeks. If you need it sooner, a rush fee of $40.00 can be paid. Please allow ample ordering time for the holidays or special occasions. All paintings will be shipped via Fed Ex ground or Priority mail. Expedited shipping is available, additional costs will apply. I will email you with shipping costs along with your proof.

Please remember that even though the original photo may be yours, the final paintings copyright is held by Sit. Stay. Smile. 8. Philanthropy - A portion of the proceeds from each painting will be donated to various animal rights organizations. I believe that we can all make a difference in improving the lives and welfare of our pets in this country.
